Today we welcome the Rev. Jim Oates. Jim is on the staff of the Ohio Conference of the United Church of Christ serving as the Church Development/Congregational Renewal Coach. He is working to create a culture of vitality, growth, and evangelism across the Conference. Gathering networks of leadership from new and renewing churches, Jim will help apply training, accountability, and resources to settings where there is a passion for vitality. Prior to coming to the Ohio Conference staff Jim was the Pastor of Faith Christian Church in Lima, Oh, a United Church of Christ/Presbyterian Congregation. Jim and his wife Diane have two children Dustin and Kelsey and live in Sidney, OH.
Following second service today there will be a workshop and light luncheon where Jim will continue to guide us as we discern our vision for the future of our church. All are invited and encouraged to attend as we continue our journey together!
